Good morning!
Our Zenberry Holy Frappe was “hot off the presses” Thursday! Our
organic fair-trade espresso, procured from our favorite Brooklyn-based
roaster (Jailhouse coffee), was freshly ground the day before the
Zenberry Holy Frappe production run. Super fresh!
Coffee is big with riders, cyclists like Shane and motorcycle riders like me
(this photo was taken by my friend Dominic who is also the
President of NY Classic Riders Club I affiliate with). I usually bring
my green juice or Zenberry smoothie in my backpack when I ride with my
Moto ❤ all riders always end up meeting at a coffee rest stop!
Holy Frappe is Shane’s favorite recovery smoothie after races or hard training rides because studies show that consuming carbs with caffeine after a workout increases your muscle glycogen (stored energy) by up to 60% over consuming the same carbs by themselves. It “super injects” the glycogen but they aren’t exactly sure how, yet.
The intention of Holy Frappe was always to create a healthy Frappuccino without all the sugar, pesticides, food additives, artificial flavoring
for hard working people. All the flavor, none of the junk. We succeeded.
So here it goes, the Morning Coffee Smoothie Recipe. Ultra simple:
INGREDIENTS
– 10 Oz Creamy nut milk
– 2 TBSP Holy Frappe
Shake well or use blender!
Other variations we love. Use frozen banana and blender to make thick like a Frappuccino.
– 2 Oz Creamy cashew milk
– 2 TBSP coconut cream (in a can) or 2 TBSP almond butter
– 1 frozen banana
– 2 TBSP Holy Frappe
And if you crave the sugar load from Starbucks Frappuccino, use 1 or 2 TBSP of real maple syrup or 1 teaspoon organic coconut palm sugar. Your body will thank you.
This is so good. Nothing else is needed because Zenberry Holy Frappe includes all the other foods you want to eat: dark leafy greens, grasses, seaweed and algae, brown rice protein, maca, raw cacao, probiotics, enzymes etc.
Bon Appetit!
