Meal Plan to Lower Inflammation One Day at a Timezenberry
Hello! I trust you’re off to a great start this new year but I spent a few hours writing a one-day meal plan, complete with recipes and tips, to help get you started. I wanted to share some of my knowledge and experience as a functional nutritionist to help you eat a little healthier while still enjoying your meals. You can download it below. This way of eating can decrease inflammation after our holiday splurge, strengthen the digestive system, and tone the colon. It can also help in healing Crohn’s, Colitis and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. This meal plan is also efficient in stimulating the body’s natural detoxification pathways which can help one lose weight. You can eat this way for one or several days every month or whenever you feel you need it.
Personally, this is the way I’ve eaten almost every day since being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in January 2018. After years of eating foods I did not know were causing a severe allergic reaction within my body (sometimes the allergy damage is so deep within, you don’t take notice until things have escalated). This diet helped me to become asymptomatic in 4 months, without medication. Nowadays, I eat this way 2-3 days a week. The rest of the time, I include legumes (beans and lentils), fermented soy and on rare occasions GF whole grains in my diet. I feel most vibrant eating this way and it’s also the fastest way to get food on the table since the longest dish to prepare takes 15 minutes!
